WHAT DOES A 2:1 CABLE RATIO MEAN?
The G4's 2:1 cable ratio means the cable travels twice the distance relative to the weight stack movement.
The result is longer cable travel and smooth, precise resistance, making it excellent for functional movements, unilateral exercises, cable flys, lateral raises, curls and high-repetition training.

What is the Force USA G4 All-In-One Trainer?
The Force USA G4 is a complete home-gym training system combining five major strength stations in one machine: Functional Trainer, Smith Machine, Half Power Rack, Landmine/Core Trainer and Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar. It is designed for serious home strength training while reducing the need for multiple standalone machines.
Is the Force USA G4 worth it for a home gym?
The G4 is particularly compelling for someone who wants selectorised cable training, Smith-machine training and conventional barbell training in one machine. The dual weight stacks make cable exercises quicker to set up than on a plate-loaded trainer, while the rack and Smith machine allow serious compound strength training.
What exercises can you do on the Force USA G4?
The G4 supports a wide variety of exercises including squats, bench presses, Smith-machine squats and presses, cable flyes, rows, curls, tricep exercises, pull-ups, landmine rows and rotational exercises. Its combination of free-weight, Smith-machine and cable stations makes it suitable for full-body strength training.
Does the Force USA G4 include a Smith machine?
Yes. The G4 has an integrated Smith machine with a balanced sealed-bearing system, providing a guided bar path for exercises such as squats, lunges and presses. You can also perform conventional barbell exercises using the G4's J-hooks and spotter arms.
Does the Force USA G4 have weight stacks?
Yes. The G4 comes with two independent 170lb / 77kg selectorised weight stacks, one on each side of the functional trainer. Each stack can be upgraded to 220lb / 100kg.
What is the pulley ratio on the Force USA G4?
The G4 functional trainer uses a 2:1 pulley ratio. This means that if 100lb is selected on the weight stack, approximately 50lb of resistance is experienced at the handle. The 2:1 system also provides greater cable travel and smooth movement for functional exercises.
How many cable positions does the Force USA G4 have?
21 north/south cable slider positions, allowing the pulleys to be positioned at different heights for exercises ranging from low rows and curls to chest flys and overhead movements.
Is the Force USA G4 suitable for a home gym?
Yes. The G4 is specifically rated for Home Gym use. Its main advantage is that it combines multiple strength-training stations within a relatively compact footprint, making it ideal for a serious home or garage gym.
How much space do I need for the Force USA G4?
The G4's assembled dimensions are approximately 192cm wide × 154cm deep × 220cm high. Fitness Network lists the internal working area at approximately 102cm wide × 125cm deep × 200cm high. You should also allow additional room around the machine for safe barbell and cable training.
What ceiling height do I need for the Force USA G4?
Force USA recommends approximately 8ft 4in / 254cm minimum ceiling height if you want enough clearance to perform a full pull-up with your head above the pull-up bar.
Does the Force USA G4 include a bench?
No. A bench is not included with the G4 and needs to be purchased separately if required. An adjustable bench is highly recommended because it considerably expands the range of exercises possible on the G4.
Are a barbell and weight plates included with the Force USA G4?
No. A separate Olympic barbell, weight plates and bench are not included with the base G4. These can be added separately depending on your training requirements.
What attachments are included with the Force USA G4?
Included attachments such as J-hooks, front spotter arms, tricep rope, two single D-handles, A-frame landmine row handle, short straight bar, straight connection bar, Olympic collars, carabiners and extension chains.
Can the Force USA G4 weight stacks be upgraded?
Yes. Each standard 77kg weight stack can be upgraded to 100kg, giving you additional resistance as your strength progresses..
How long does the Force USA G4 take to assemble?
Around 4 hours.
